A Single Spark: How Alab Talino Begins Lighting the Way Forward
Every meaningful change begins with a single spark, and for AMTI, that spark is Alab Talino.
Rooted in a simple but meaningful purpose, Alab Talino was created to help communities understand and embrace artificial intelligence with wisdom, responsibility, and hope. More than introducing a new technology, the initiative seeks to show that AI can become a practical tool for learning, growth, and everyday empowerment.
Guided by the message, “Tanglawan ang bukas sa matalinong paggamit ng AI,” Alab Talino reflects a belief that the future should not feel distant or out of reach. Instead, it should be something people can better understand, prepare for, and shape through informed and responsible use of technology.
This purpose came to life in AMTI’s very first Alab Talino learning session, held with the Basic Ecclesial Communities (BEC) of Holy Family Parish. More than a program kickoff, the session marked the beginning of something deeply hopeful. In a space filled with curiosity and quiet courage, participants took an important first step toward seeing AI not as something intimidating or unfamiliar, but as something that can serve, guide, and empower them in everyday life.
What made the session meaningful was not only the topic itself, but the openness of the people who chose to be part of it. Their willingness to listen, ask questions, and learn made the experience more than an introduction. It became a reminder that when communities are given the opportunity to engage with technology in a way that is grounded, human, and relevant, real learning begins.
