JOB OVERVIEW

The Project Cost Accountant will be responsible for monitoring and managing the financial aspects of our projects. This role includes budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking to ensure projects are completed within budget and on time.

• Compute job order costing and pricing. Perform project cost analysis and provide financial insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with sales and other key stakeholders in consolidating project costing.
• Provide support with sales in computing for other costing and financial modeling assistance.
• Monitor project expenses and compare planned budgets and forecasts during implementation.
• Prepare and maintain monthly project cost records and reports.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other accounting reports related to project costs.
• Conduct variance analysis and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare necessary reports and entries for project closing.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, entries, and reports for cost accounting.
• Supervise associates in obtaining team objectives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

To succeed in this role, you need to have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in project cost accounting.
• Candidate must posses strong understanding of accounting principles, cost simulations, and project financial analysis.
• Candidate must be highly organized, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Candidate must possess advanced skills in MS Excel.
