Inspiring Stories of Indigent Trainees of AMTI's Basic Computer Repair Training Program

In a realm brimming with boundless possibilities, the yearning to foster professional growth and explore superior job prospects within the corporate landscape permeates society. Recognizing the life-changing power of in-depth technical training, AMTI and Regina Rosarii Institute for Contemplation in Asia (Regina RICA) have joined forces, embarking on an initiative to empower indigent individuals. This collaborative endeavor focuses on equipping the trainees with essential skills and knowledge, allowing them to unlock a multitude of opportunities and build promising career paths.

The Basic Computer Repair Training Program left no stone unturned in preparing individuals for challenges ahead. From technical skills to interpersonal abilities, trainees were equipped to excel. Through hands-on experiences and guidance from technical experts, they gained confidence and proficiency in essential computer skills.

The participants in the training program came from diverse backgrounds, including service crew members, single parents, repatriated overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), high school graduates who are unable to afford college education, and college graduates struggling to find employment opportunities. Despite their diverse life experiences, they all shared a common goal: to secure a brighter future through stable and rewarding jobs.

Seven (7) out of the eighteen (18) training participants have been offered job opportunities by AMTI. Three of them are deployed to work in Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), one of the country's largest banks and is also acknowledged by Asiamoney as the “Best Domestic Bank” and the "Best Bank for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)” in the Philippines. Gaining AMTI’s confidence in assigning them to different projects not only fills them with a profound sense of accomplishment but also stands as a testament to their unwavering dedication, perseverance, and determination to succeed. They have expressed gratitude for the partnership between AMTI and Regina RICA, which opened a world of opportunities capable of significantly enhancing their lives.

 

“Matagal ko na po talaga gustong makapagtrabaho sa ganitong klaseng kumpanya, dati po kase  akong service crew at kitchen helper pero dahil sa computer training ng AMTI at Regina RICA, nabigyan ako ng pagkakataong magawa ang trabaho na di ko inakalang makakaya ko. Kaya isang malaking blessing na po talaga ito sa akin.” (I've longed to work in a company like this. I used to work as a service crew and kitchen helper, but because of the computer training from AMTI and Regina RICA, I was given the opportunity to do a job that I never thought I could handle. “Pangarap ko talaga mula nung bata ay IT. Hilig ko talagang magkalikot ng computer kaya kinuha ko pong kurso nu’ng Senior High School ako ay STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). Kaya malaking pasalamat ko sa AMTI at Regina RICA, dahil kahit di ako nakapag-aral ng kolehiyo, nagkaroon ako ng opportunity na makapagtrabaho sa isang malaking kumpanya at gawin yung trabaho na gusto at interesado ako.” (Since childhood, my dream has always been to work in the field of IT.
